Hundred Memories, One Book is a thoughtfully designed diary that invites readers to engage with history—not through text alone, but through the quiet power of photography. Crafted for The Hindu, this book brings together a curated collection of one hundred evocative images from the newspaper’s extensive photo archives, which date back to 1897. These photographs from The Hindu's archives span across decades, offering glimpses into politics, culture, architecture, the arts, and everyday life in India.
An alternative packaging option for the book
The intent was to create more than just a visual archive. This book is structured as a diary—an object of personal use and reflection—so that alongside these rare archival images, readers have space to write, pause, remember, and respond. The layout flows cyclorama-style, allowing photographs to tell its story, and to connect emotionally.
Hundred Memories, One Book is not only a tribute to The Hindu’s rich visual history but also a celebration of mindful design—where memory and meaning meet on every page. The books were presented to participants of The Hindu Huddle, a two-day, ideas conclave in Bengaluru including the likes of M Venkaiah Naidu, Sania Mirza, Sachin Pilot and Rasika Dugal to name a few.
