The 252-page hardback book contains production stories and creative dissections from the house of Singapore-based Apsaras Dance Company. With over 100 photographs coupled with poetry and illustration, the book pays homage to the ethos of dance—its tradition, culture and community in a minimalist design.
Supported by the National Heritage Board, Singapore, Apsaras Arts Dance Company launched Aham – Works by Apsaras Arts (2000–2023), authored by Artistic Director Aravinth Kumarasamy. A Singapore Cultural Medallion recipient, Aravinth has re-imagined Bharatanatyam as an ensemble art form, leading Apsaras Arts to global acclaim with over thirty-five productions.
